Table Talk: Episode 08 – Christ-centered Preaching

Shows like this easily garner criticism, we live in an age when we are quick to complain but slow to commend. Having Table Talk on Radio Pulpit is partly based on how vocal support is for it. Could I please encourage you, while I love getting positive feedback, to also take a moment to message the station and voice your appreciation for the show. If you click here you will be taken to a link where you can drop a short message commending what you have heard, just say something along the lines of how you enjoy the show Table Talk on Friday mornings. To let me know, you can use the comment section below.

Hi Tyrell, how we appreciate your input an teahing from the Word. We dont miss your Sunday 7am slot on Radio Pulpit and also loved to tune in to Bonolo’s Q&A wth you on Fridays. Now we have Table Talk, we are so blessed. Thank you, thank you. Some time ago we were troubled and confused re finding a Church fellowship and you directed us to Christ Church North Coast. We have been involved there since Aug, 2018 & know we have found our ‘tribe’ and home. Thank you and God bless you as you walk His calling by His grace for His glory 😍

This is a very helpful conversation Tyrell. Helps me assess and analyse the sermon I’ll be preaching in Krugersdorp tomorrow. I’m very thankful for this conversation. But this also shows how important training is when it comes to preaching. For instance, Preachers need to be shown in training how christocentric the old testament stories are so that the body of Christ may see the truth undiluted in the message. I once had a friend put it in a very helpful way saying, a preacher should ask, “how is Jesus Christ a hero in this passage?”
